I've been with guys who have gotten totally pissed the fuck off, frustrated, and embarrassed because they freaked out, couldn't perform, etc., and I try to tell them that... it happens. It can even happen to the most experienced of us although, in truth, I've seen this happen more with new guys than with experienced guys.
How do women deal with this? Not very well. It's not like they don't know about the things that can, essentially, cripple us and prevent us from having sex and many women say that they understand and that it's okay... but it really isn't and the next time you get in an argument about not taking the trash out, she is very likely going to bring up that time where you weren't man enough to have sex with her. Sure, some women can overlook this because, again, they know it happens and it's probably happened to them and more than once or twice and there's no point in tearing a man down because of it.
Having it happen to guys I was eager to have sex with (a) taught me some stuff about men and (b) taught me to not kick a man in the balls when he's down like that and more so when, um, I've had a couple of those "can't get it up right now" moments that called for me to stop and chill until I'm calmer and, oh, look: My dick is hard! I do think that for some guys and when this happens to them, it can be a killer and especially if they were talking "shit" about how they were gonna do you up nice and proper and other such things that guys tend to say and then... something like this happens and it's even more humiliating for them. I seem to recall that the last time a guy freaked out on me and couldn't continue; he was worried about not being able to get me off and I said, "That's okay - it's why I have two hands..."
