So, I got ANOTHER email from someone who is known for owning a recording studio in the town we live in. He is putting together an all girl band. After giving him my phone number he gave me a call tonight and he asked me a bunch of questions about my music bio and how involved I am in music. He then asked me to sing two songs for him as an audition, then to test me he asked me to sing the same songs a step up, which I readily did, and he was happy that I knew what he was talking about and could do it. He told me that what he had planned was to get all of the vocalists together with the one they already have, work on some stuff, then start recording by the end of the summer. After my little phone audition, he said he liked what he had heard, and him and the woman who was also on the phone that is helping him put this together (I think she's his assistant since she was the one that made the actual phone call and all that, I don't know) were going to take a few hours and discuss what they thought of me, they were going to look at the headshot I emailed them, and then get back to me tonight about if they want to take it further.
For YEARS I've been trying to do something, anything with my singing, and now that I'm sitting back and living life instead of trying, people are coming to me. This is the second producer in a week! What the hell? Are the planets aligning or something??

The planets are aligning..as the song goes...."Jupiter aligns with Mars". It is just the right things are happening at the right time Rissa. The explanation is unnecessary. Just let it happen. Be open to it and take care.

Hey Rissa, Sounds great, just keep your eyes wide open. there are scams like this going around, don't give them any money upfront for nothing. Even though they promise to make you a star. Musician/singer myself, I've never heard of a telephone audition. Wish you luck and its all on the up and up

I've done a lot of music auditions actually, just to let them see if they want to bring me in for the real auditions, which this basically was. Also, they told me right out that they aren't promising me stardom. They said that nothing is guaranteed, but they are going to try to make something. Thanks for the concern also, I know there can always be something wrong, and I refuse to pay out of pocket for anything when I have things like this happening. Hell, I don't go to stuff like this alone either haha. I'm a very skeptical person.
By the way, I just got off of the phone with them recently, and they did like me a lot and asked me to come in and meet the other band members and get a feel for the studio, see how things work out and all that junk on Tuesday. Coolio!
